The Hitter's Edge Policies

Training Sessions, Lessons, Camps and Clinics

Payment

Full payment for your session is required at the time of sign-up. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event your instructor has a conflict resulting in a schedule change, The Hitter's Edge reserves the right to substitute an instructor. In the event a substitute instructor is not available we will contact you to reschedule.

What if my child is sick or injured?

We understand that under some circumstances your child may not be able to attend a training session due to a medical reason. In the event of a cancellation for illness or injury, a doctor’s note is required. No refunds will be provided.

Refunds: The Hitter's Edge DOES NOT provide refunds under any circumstance.

Private Lesson Conversions

Associate Instructor Lessons: If you sign up for a semi-private lesson and you are the only student, your lesson will be converted to a private lesson at a rate of $70.

Director of Development Lessons: If you sign up for a semi-private lesson and you are the only student, your lesson will be converted to a private lesson at a rate of $85.

Credit cards on file will be charged in accordance with the above policies.

Cancellation Policy

Training Sessions

  • 24-Hour Notice: If you need to change your session, you may do so with at least 24 hours’ notice. You are required to pick a new time slot immediately. No credits will be applied to your account.

  • Less Than 24-Hour Notice: No reschedules; fee is forfeited.

  • No-Show Policy: No refunds.

Class Series

  • A class series is a group training session that runs for a set number of sessions. No makeups or credits for missed sessions.

  • Some events, including but not limited to camps, clinics, and guest instructor sessions, may have separate cancellation policies listed in the event description.

Credit Card On File & Authorization

All clients are required to have a credit card on file.

Client agrees to pay any applicable charge(s) associated with their account according to the card issuer's agreement. Client understands that this document will serve as authorization on the credit charges and as a Signature-on-File for all authorized charges and outstanding balances now and in the future.

Any costs associated with products or services purchased or used will be billed in accordance with the method, schedule, and policies outlined in this Agreement.

Furthermore, the client understands that using a credit card fraudulently is illegal and charges will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

Photo Use Release

I authorize The Hitter's Edge the right to take, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, distribute, and make use of any and all pictures or video taken to be used in and/or for legally promotional materials including, but not limited to, newsletters, flyers, posters, brochures, advertisements, fundraising letters, annual reports, press kits, submissions to journalists, websites, social networking sites, and other print and digital communications, without payment or any other consideration. This authorization extends to all languages, media, formats, and markets now known or hereafter devised.

Weather Policy

In the event of a weather emergency or a government-mandated closure (declared by local or state government resulting in closure of facilities), The Hitter's Edge will reschedule sessions. The Hitter's Edge cannot guarantee your original instructor’s availability for rescheduled sessions. We will contact you to reschedule your session. All sessions must be rescheduled within 48 hours.

Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

Participation in training sessions, lessons, camps, clinics, and any related activities at The Hitter's Edge involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or property damage. These risks may arise from participation in athletic activities, use of equipment, facility conditions, instruction, or actions of other participants.

By enrolling and participating, the participant and/or parent/guardian acknowledges and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in The Hitter's Edge programs.

Release of Liability

The participant and/or parent/guardian hereby releases, waives, discharges, and holds harmless The Hitter's Edge, its owners, directors, instructors, employees, contractors, volunteers, agents, and facility partners from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, or liabilities arising out of or related to participation in any program, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury

  • Illness or medical conditions

  • Property damage or loss

  • Negligence (to the fullest extent permitted by law)

This release applies whether the injury or damage occurs during instruction, training, competition, conditioning, or while on the premises.

Medical Authorization

The participant and/or parent/guardian certifies that the participant is physically able to participate in athletic activities and has no medical condition that would prevent safe participation, or has disclosed such condition in writing.

In the event of an emergency, the participant and/or parent/guardian authorizes The Hitter's Edge staff to seek medical treatment deemed necessary and agrees to be financially responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

Indemnification

The participant and/or parent/guardian agrees to indemnify and defend The Hitter's Edge against any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from participation or violation of any policies.

Acknowledgment & Acceptance

By registering for services, signing up online, or participating in any program, the participant and/or parent/guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to this Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk, and that it is binding on themselves and the participant.
